for the creation of these works, pauline uses and interprets the fabrics of forte_forte’s archive accurately selected by herself. this process is represented by decorated panels which show abstract landscapes featured by curves and lines symbolizing voice, sound, nature, and life.
giada forte’s collection plays with female and male stereotypes.
vocal cords’ capsule collection includes 14 pieces, and it highlights and revolutionizes the iconic wardrobe of man and woman. the cloths are deconstructed and recreated: the inner becomes the outer, the invisible unveils. a visual symphony enhances a form of freedom that suggests awareness.
linen jacquard fabric, organic cotton canvases, silk organza, poplin: natural and contrasting materials able to express their originality. a play of materials where the softness is opposite to energy, a game with no rules.
dark colours as blue and black contrast with light and female hues like powder pink and ecru. the iridescence reflects the sparkle, while the arabesque, printed, and embroidered tell the pattern of pauline’s works.
finally, the musical touch of erwin aros.
the performance is meant to be like an initiation ceremony, and it includes three parts taken from three works: “l’humana fragilità” of monteverdi, “tis nature’s voice” of henry purcell and “la barcheta” of reynaldo hahn. supported by a piano, erwin aros arranges these three arias to create a unique one and offering a contemplative melody whose voice (counter-tenor) seems to be suspended among the acutes.
